Information about IARI Notes

                                                          

 

ARI established at pusa Bihar ( April 1905) on the recommendations 

Raleigh commission under the viceroyalty of Lord Curzon.

In 1921 ARI renamed as IARI.

* In 1934 IARI building damaged due to earthquake in Bihar.

* Due to this 1936 it relocated in Pusa road, New Delhi.

*Henry Phipps provided financial assistance for ARI establishment.

*B. Vishwanath was first Indian Director of IARI
*After independence the institute renamed as Indian Agricultural Research Institute.

*In 1958 IARI recognise as deemed university under UGC act 1955. PG school was established.
